Which of these new cars should I buy or not buy and why?

AJ asked:

1. Ford Focus
2. Mazda 3
3. Nissan Versa
4. Toyota Corolla

I am interested in manual transmission, power windows, long term reliability, safety, and performance. And of course, price.
Please don’t recommend that I test drive them because I will be doing so for each this weekend. I am interested in information not gathered during a test drive. Of course, part of the decision will be due to the test drive, but I need more than that as I want to make as informed a decision as possible.

What do you use to protect a new cars finish finish?

WaveMotion asked:

Wax consists of solid particles that leave swirl markes in the paint. these marks remove the factory finish over time.

Is there a true new car treatment that will not hurt the factory finish?

Please…. none of the common every day waxes on the market today.
They all consists of cheap abrasive based wax or a water based product that begins to dull the next day.
not PTFE treatments they destroy the paints finish.
New ideas only please. I am looking for new technology in automotive detailing.

Any auto manufacturers selling new cars with no money down?

Mike asked:

I’m looking to buy a new automobile with no money down. My average gross income is somewhere in the $3000/mo. range, and my credit is fair. I went to a Scion dealership, and I was told I could drive away in my choice of a brand new Scion with $0 down. Scions are nice cars, but I’d rather drive something else. I’d like to save some money for a down payment, but I need a car now. Any other auto manufacturers currently offering a no-money-down deal?
