Watch TV…look in the newspapers…..happens every year.

    YEAR END CLEARANCE SALES

They sell them as new cars with rebats. Great time of year is Dec.

They put them on sale. Mfrs give extra incentives to sell them — you can find some very good prices on MY2006 cars, especially if they have minor cosmetic changes compared to MY2007.

It’s just like selling seasonal clothing – summer clothes have big sales as soon as the fall clothes show up.

If they purchased the cars, they get a loud guy to get on tv and say, WHAT A BLOWOUT! COME TO SO-AND-SO DEALERSHIP AND GET A **AMAZING** OFFER. NO MONEY DOWN! NO PAYMENT FOR 6 MONTHS. WOW!

On the other hand, you may not have known that many dealerships lease their cars. That’s right. You’re buying a rented car. So they send them back to the factories where the cars are resold to other areas or scavenged for parts.

They go on sale, we still have 3 new 2004 Escalades on the lot that have never been sold. The one with the highest mileage has 65. They just sit here and rot. Our Sales Manager doesn’t know how to price them right, so they will probably still be here when the 2014’s come out!!!

they put them as used cars..or sell at clearances..or auctions

    Nope, no new car graveyard…
Dealers SELL the cars as new ones come out.

The manufacturer offers higher rebates to intice customers into buying. Plus, sometimes it takes special sales…. We just got rid of a few leftover 05s by selling them on E-bay.

They still try and sell them, at a reduced rate. I would stay away from a new car that hasn’t been off the lot for a year. Chances are the car has problems from sitting on the lot. Some are donated to schools as well.
