What happens to all of the new cars and trucks that never are sold, can we buy these vehicles at discounted $?

If these vehicles are never sold what happens to them. Are they on a lot somewhere. Can they be purchased at hughe discounted prices after sitting idle for a period of time or are they recycled for another use.
