These new cars are not muscle cars. They are just made over beer can rice burners. A true muscle car is a 67 Shelby GT 500, 69 Camaro SS, 57 Chevy, 69 Charger, and the list goes on. Whats the deal? Yes granted some are nice cars but the are not true American Muscle. What are your opinions?
I would like to hear them.

Yeah!!! A 1969 Camaro SS is a mucle car, but people feel that just cause a car can go from 0-60 in 5 seconds makes them a muscle car. I can understand new cars that go form 0-80 in only 2.87 seconds being a muscle car, but people just have their own opinions. Until people change their opinions they will continue to call them muscle cars. I’m with you though, the old cars are the REAL muscle cars.

Ask the sales department. Is this the first time companies have used misleading terminology to attract consumers? It’s like anything else in our nation. People will be called beautiful when they’re not. Singers will be said to have talent when they do not. The term muscle car sounds a lot better than the beer can rice burner alternative, no?

Would you even consider buying a four door station wagon unless they gave it a flashy name like Magnum? I always wondered why Chrysler didn’t market the fact that the Neon had a hemispherical head on their four cylinder. They make a big deal out of the new V-8, even though it isn’t at all like the original Hemi. The new, much smaller V-8 is A hemi, not The Hemi.

The 57 chevy was not a muscle car and really isn’t one. The are more hot rod since it never had a large engine with alot of horsepower. The cars of that era aren’t the only muscle cars. The 1985-87 buick grand national and Monte carlo SS were some of the last muscle cars made. The buick doesn’t have a large v8, only a Turbocharged and Intercooled 3.8l V6. People who know what a GN is and have ever tried to run one or have driven one know it is a true muscle car. The last gen Camaros/TAs, and mustangs are pony cars and aren’t really considered muscle cars. New mustangs are *** as hell anyway. What kind of sports car makes less than 260hp? That’s the most the mustang GTs ever made from the early 90s till 2005. They ****.

I agree, these new cars are far from Muscle Cars.
Yes,some do look nice and have nice gadgets, but I’ll take my American made,8-track playing RoadRunner over any new so-called muscle car anyday.
Me thinks it’s all an advertising stint.People hear Muscle Car an want to get one.
Ah the good ole days…..
